Accredited by the Service Design Network

Service Works Accredited by Service Design Network 23 June 2022 - 23 June 2025

We are delighted that ServiceWorks has just been awarded full Organisational Accreditation from the Service Design Network. After an intensive and rigorous application process culminating in an audit of the organisation.

We’re overjoyed to receive validation for our hard work and to be recognised internationally. We now join a small world-class group of quality service design training providers and consultants. We are the only Accredited Organisation in the UK offering training in Service Design specifically for the public and third sector.

Founded in 2004, Service Design Network is the leading non-profit institution for expertise in service design. It is an international network, which leads the way in connecting and inspiring people who design services to make lives better by strengthening the impact of service design.

Jo Carter, director of ServiceWorks joined a select group of quality service designers in February when she became an SDN Accredited Master in Service Design.

ServiceWorks is now part of the SDN Academy delivering high-quality service design courses by SDN-accredited trainers accessible to their international community.

This couldn’t come at a better time. As we officially open applications for our fifth cohort of Service Design in Practice, which starts in September.

This recognition now means that participants in our 6-month programme will:

  • Enrol with SDN as a student member - providing access to Touchpoint magazine, the Casestudy library and SDN events and more.

  • Receive a joint branded SDN / ServiceWorks certificate of achievement on completion

  • Have the option to take the SDN Practitioner Accreditation on completion of the programme for a significantly discounted cost.

SDN and ServiceWorks are committed to increasing the design fluency of people working in organisations to help them design services that work for people. We will continue to work together and shape the future of service design.

Our courses have been scrutinised to ensure that they meet the highest standards in learning and development in service design, including the latest developments in the field. We are continuously improving the structure and content of our programmes to meet the changing needs of our public service and third sector participants.

Thanks go to SDN president Birgit Mager and Chicago SDN Chapter lead Thomas Brandenburg for their encouragement, guidance and support in helping ServiceWorks achieve this accolade. Thanks also to Carolina Corona at SDN Accreditation for supporting ServiceWorks through the process.
